Launer London has supplied, designed and customize Queen Elizabeth II’s handbags since 1968, the year Her Majesty the Queen granted the company the Royal Warrant. CEO, Gerald Bodmer of Launer revealed that they have supplied over 200 handbags to the Queen. An average Launer bag costs less than £2,000 ($2,800) but if you fancy a classic Traviata, it will cost you over $24,000.
Among the Queen’s collection are Susanna clutch £580, black-patent Traviata handbag £1,550, Adagio for £1,300, Bellini £1,250, the Royale for £1,650, Lulu in cream for £740 and many more. Gerald does not know when Her majesty will be wearing a handbag designed by his company but he can always find out in the newspaper when she was photographed with one. However, the Royal does brings in her handbags for repairs from time to time and was known to wear the same handbags rather than purchasing new models.
