Come Visit 2014 Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary Celebration in LA, California




This year will see the 40th anniversary celebration for Hello Kitty, the cute cat character first created in 1974 by
Japanese company, Sanrio. The original designer for the character was Ms. Yuko Shimizu who potrayed Hello Kitty wearing a signature red bow on her left ear. Other Hello Kitty characters include her family members, Papa George, Mama Mary, her twin Sister, Mimmy, Grandpa Anthony, Grandma Margaret, Hello Kitty’s childhood friend, Dear Daniel and her pets, Charmmy Kitty and Sugar.

The celebration in the United States will be held at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM) by Sanrio from Oct 11, 2014 until April 26, 2015 and at the The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA Downtown Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo between Oct 30 2014 to November 2, 2014

Both venues are the first of its kind with JANM presenting history, art and culture while the Hello Kitty Con (Convention) 2014 offer interactive experience in the form of exhibitions, activities, events, food, fun and much more for all attendees. Tickets holder to the convention will give you free access to the Hello Kitty’s exhibition at JANM
